Muriel E. Halstead was born in Hawaii on July 30, 1893. Halstead appears to have settled in Los Angeles in the 1920s and was soon active in the local art scene as an Easel and Commercial Artist. A spinster, she died in Los Angeles on Jan. 30, 1984.
